Dialup-Connection to the Internet
Modem Setup

To be able to use a modem to connect to the Internet, the modem needs to be configured properly in Windows95: In the 'Control-Panel', start the 'Modem' applet, and if you have not yet a modem configured (because you may have just connected it), you get something like this:

Let Windows95 try to figure out the modem itself, which type of modem is connected to which COM-port. If Windows95 gets it wrong, you can always correct it:

If the type of your modem is NOT listed , then you need a setup floppy with the setup information file, so that you can use the 'Have Disk' button.
